Ankara prints are trendy, they are ever in. They've become timeless classics as they come extremely versatile that it works in almost any look.
Prints are pretty but African prints come more vibrant in cotton making it possible to be translated into modern, chic, traditional/African and more. Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo uses 'Ankara' for her pieces (which all come embellished).
African prints have gone beyond borders as designers from Stella Jean use the prints with celebrities including Beyonce, Solange Knowles, Rihanna and more sported in the raved print.
Back in Nigeria, the weekend is incomplete with events/parties where ladies especially go all out and 'Ankara' again comes to play in different designs.
